Terms of service

Last updated: 10 October 2026

These terms govern your use of StepMetrics, a product of Deepapps (“we”, “us”), including our hosted dashboard, analytics collection, API, MCP tools and related services. By creating an account or purchasing a plan, you agree to these terms. If you use the service for an organization, you must have authority to agree on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not create an account or purchase access.

Your account and access

Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials and API keys secure. You are responsible for the people and integrations you authorize to use your workspace. Use appropriate permissions, revoke access you no longer need, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be legally able to enter into an agreement to use the service.

Subject to these terms and your plan’s limits, you may use the service to measure websites, apps and systems that you own or are authorized to operate. Access to the service does not transfer ownership of our software, branding or documentation. Separately licensed components remain subject to their own licenses.

Acceptable use

Your data and visitors’ privacy

You retain your rights in the data you submit. You authorize us to receive, store, process and display it as needed to provide, secure and support the service and carry out your instructions. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit that data and authorize that processing.

You are responsible for your own privacy notices, lawful basis for collection, consent where required, and responses to your visitors’ privacy requests. Our tracker can collect raw IP addresses, cookies and device fingerprints. You must configure it for your use case and delay loading it until any required consent has been obtained. Our marketing website’s cookie choice does not provide consent for tracking on your website.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle information, and our cookie policy explains storage on our marketing website. Data is subject to the applicable retention settings. Keep independent copies of information you need beyond those settings; the service is not a permanent archive.

Plans, payments and cancellation

Your plan’s features and allowances are described on our pricing page and in the offer shown when you purchase. Checkout states the price, currency, applicable taxes, billing interval and whether a purchase renews. A fixed-term purchase provides access for the stated term; a recurring subscription renews according to the terms shown at checkout until canceled.

Polar handles paid checkout as merchant of record. Purchases through Polar are also subject to its Buyer Terms and Conditions. Manage recurring subscriptions through the billing portal linked from your account or your purchase communications. Canceling a recurring subscription normally stops the next renewal; paid access continues until the subscription ends, when the workspace returns to the applicable free allowance.

We do not automatically bill event overages. Events above your collection allowance can be refused. Cancellation does not immediately delete previously collected data; retention settings continue to apply. Ending a subscription and requesting deletion of your account or data are separate actions.

For billing errors or refund requests, contact us with your account email and order reference. Refunds are handled through Polar under the applicable purchase terms and law. Canceling a subscription does not by itself request a refund. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory refund or consumer rights.

Connected tools and AI features

When you connect an agent or other tool, you authorize it to act within the permissions of its API key. Some permissions allow changes to your workspace. Review those permissions and the provider’s own terms before connecting a tool. Optional AI features may send analytics summaries to a model provider as described in our privacy policy. Review generated recommendations before acting on them; they may be incomplete or incorrect and do not guarantee a business outcome.

Availability and measurement limits

We work to provide a reliable service, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or perfectly complete or accurate measurements. Browser restrictions, consent choices, network failures, bot classification and your integration affect results. The measurement limits explain known limitations. Unless separately agreed in writing, we do not provide a guaranteed service level.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To that same extent, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of the service. These terms do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Suspension and ending use

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a breach of these terms, nonpayment, a security threat or a legal requirement. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the issue and give you an opportunity to resolve it. You may stop using the service at any time; cancel any recurring subscription separately to stop future renewals. Contact us to request account closure or deletion of data, subject to applicable retention and legal requirements.

Changes and questions

We may update the service and these terms. We will update the date on this page and provide notice of material changes before they take effect where required. Changes do not remove rights you already have under applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

For questions about these terms or a service dispute, use our contact form and include “Terms” in the subject so we can work with you to resolve it. These terms do not prevent you from seeking remedies available under applicable law.
